First time swinging...weee!
Hello all,
Well it has been ages since we have updated our blog. A lot has happened and Sydney has changed so much in just a month. We had our first cold/ear infection/round on antibiotics, which was exciting. After several trips to the doctor and one to urgent care, because he broke out in hives, we made it through. During this time his Nona (Leslie's mom) came out to visit and he gave her the cold too. She had every symptom that Sydney had, minus the hives. And then I got it a little bit, not as bad as he had it. Well then Jr didn't want to be left out, so it picked it up, too. So, I think we are finally all well, at least until something new goes around day care and Sydney brings it home.
Sydney is now trying very hard to crawl. He is definitely getting to where he wants to go, but not traditionally crawling yet. I think by the end of the week he will be. Just yesterday, he was playing by the stairs and decided to stand up on his own. Quite exciting.
I am working pretty hard to baby proof the house. I finally figured out how to use my new power drill and the latches on the cabinets are getting easier as I move along. I love using the drill, so watch out home projects.
Jr had Sydney the other day and he was so tired that when he went to feed him he fell asleep in his high chair. That was very cute. He is just like any other active baby...he will just go and go until he can't go anymore and then he will crash, wherever he may be. It's amazing how much he changes. He has also found his voice again and will talk very loudly for minutes at a time, especially when he first wakes up in the morning.

Sydney also is getting to where he is moving so much that just to get the housework done is pretty hard. However, he loves being in the Ergo carrier, so we're getting pretty good at doing things with him on our back. Here is is with Jr vacuuming.

It's also a great way to get him to nap if he won't go to sleep. Here is he after about 10 minutes of vacuuming.

So it is always exciting in our house these days. We are loving parenthood and Sydney is just awesome. We will be heading to Arkansas at the end of March which will be pretty exciting. He will see his grandparents (except for Paw-Paw, who lives in Houston). He will also meet some of his family for the first time. We are really looking forward to it. So, to end, Sydney has started the raspberry thing again, which is always so cute, so here's a short video of his little noise.
Enjoy! and hope you all are well.
